"It’s all about Jesus: What spiritual revival means Part 5"

Philippians 3:7-11
But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ.

What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ–the righteousness that comes from God and is by faith.

I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead.

It’s all about Jesus.

Today we discuss the fifth and final part of this five part series on the meaning of spiritual revival.

We have said that spiritual revival is about man’s need to encounter God in his life.

That spiritual revival is about KNOWING Jesus.

That spiritual revival is about EXPERIENCING Jesus.

That spiritual revival is about LOVING Jesus.

That spiritual revival is about LIVING Jesus.

And now, for the fifth and final part of this five part series, we look at spiritual revival as SERVING Jesus.

True spiritual revival will bear fruit. It will affect us to the core. To the deepest part of our hearts. It will change us. Make us hungry and thirsty for God’s presence. For God’s touch. For God’s love and power.

True spiritual revival will bring us closer to God.

And people close to God, will feel his heartbeat.

It is the desire of God to bring all sinners to repentance. To see people realizing their need for him. For the world to know and experience the love and power of God, real and true in their lives.

It is truly very sad.

However, those who are experiencing spiritual revival in their lives will eventually have the burden to serve God. To offer their lives, their talent, their time, and their treasure in serving him.

Knowing Jesus is but the beginning. Sabi nga, "the more you know, the more you realize na marami kapalang hindi alam."

The same thing with God.

That is why, spiritual revived people want more of God in their lives. More of his presence. More of his love. More of his power.

And this power, when it is upon us, will cause us to commit our lives to serve him faithfully and consistently.

Make it your desire "I want to know Christ!"

Make it your prayer "I want to serve Jesus!"

Say it with all of your heart "Lord, give me spiritual revival!"

Make this your prayer for today:

Our Father in heaven, precious Lord Jesus, comforting Holy Spirit of God, be magnified by your servant today. Be glorified, be honored, hosanna to your name Lord God Almighty. I bow before you today, and I humbly come to seek forgiveness for my sins. You are indeed a loving God, and I do not deserve your kindness. But nonetheless I come, I bow, I seek your presence in my life. I am nothing without you Lord. I am nothing without your love and power. Cover me with your blood. Fill me with your anointing. Touch me with your Spirit. Give me SPIRITUAL REVIVAL. And in your name Jesus, i rebuke and destroy all  works of Satan in my life and in the life of my loved ones. I receive today by faith, the victory and confidence, that is found only in God. I pray all these things, in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, amen.

Devotional Reading

"It’s all about Jesus: What spiritual revival means Part 4"

Galatians 2:20
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life if live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Spiritual revival means LIVING JESUS.

This means two things.

First, it’s about living a life that follows the commands of Jesus in the Bible.

Mga churches na punong puno, minsan in thousands of attendees.

Second, spiritually revived people have made a decision to live a life that follows God’s direction.

LIVING JESUS is living for Jesus.

Every decision is about fulfilling God’s calling for his life. Every move he makes is about honoring God. Every item in his life is prayed for and dedicated to God.

Sabi nga nung verse natin for today "I have been crucified with Christ, I no longer live, but Christ lives in me."

Some may say, ang bigat naman masyado. Sobra namang serious, sobra namang religious. E kapatid, ganon talaga!

Spiritual revival further deepens ones desire to live a life for Jesus.

Ikaw, how do you live your life? Do you live it for yourself? Or do you live it for JESUS?

Make this your prayer for today:

Dear God, it’s me again. Coming before you with all humility. Seeking forgiveness for my sins. Asking you Lord for guidance, protection, and blessing. I know that I am not worthy Lord of your presence. But you said in your word to come to you and you will receive me. I believe that Lord. And now I not only come, but I ask, revive me Lord once again. Give me SPIRITUAL REVIVAL. I want to live for Jesus. I want to follow his commands and guidance for my life. I resist and destroy the works of the evil one in  my life. And I believe and receive today God’s victory and favor. In Jesus mighty name I pray, amen.

"It’s all about Jesus: What spiritual revival means Part 3"

Mark 14:3-9
While he was in Bethany, reclining at the table in the home  of a man known as Simon the Leper, a woman came with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume, made of pure nard. She broke the jar and poured the perfume on his head.

Some of those present were saying indignantly to one another, "Why this waste of perfume? It could have been sold for more than a year’s wages and the money given to the poor." And they rebuked her harshly.

"Leave her alone," said Jesus. "Why are you bothering her? She has done a beautiful thing to me. The poor you will always have with you, and you can help them any time you want. But you will not always have me. She did what she could. She poured perfume on my body beforehand to prepare for my burial. I tell you the truth, wherever the gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her."

"She did what she could."

She gave him a jar of perfume worth a year’s wages, and poured it all on him.

Ano ba yang ginawa niya for Jesus?

Pero if you will look at this story one more time, you will see, that what she did, was simply, love.

Yes, love for Jesus.

When a person experiences genuine spiritual revival, what happens is that yung taong yun, sino man siya before, gano man siya makasalanan, nararanasan niya ang pagpapatawad ng Diyos, ang kanyang pagibig at pagmamahal. And as a result, we want to love God back.

And how should we love God?

Like this woman, "she did what she could."

Iba iba naman tayo. Siya kasi, what she had was the perfume in a jar, bukod don, parang preparation nadin so coming burial ni Jesus Christ.

Ikaw, iba kanaman. Somehow, kahit paano, alam natin kung sino tayo, at kung ano ang puwede natin ibigay, because we love God.

Yes, even then, hindi maiintindihan ng mga taong wala naman sa Diyos, o dinaman kaya, in the case of our story, kahit mga kasama ni Jesus hindi maiintindihan ang ginagawa ng mga taong spiritually revived.

Minsan parang illogical, too costly, at extravagant.

Pero kahit diba sa lovelife ganyan tayo? Kadalasan ang mga trully in love, bihira mag isip? At lalong bihira magkwento ng nagagastos, kasi nga in love?

The same thing with God, and so much more.

People who are spiritually revived, they love Jesus. They worship Jesus. They give what they could give, for Jesus.

Ikaw, do you love Jesus?

Have you given to Jesus what you know you could give?

Make this your prayer for today:

Dear Jesus, thank you Lord for your words today. Allow me to fully comprehend your specific message for my life and faith. Teach me the true meaning of spiritual revival. Enable me to experience the power and blessing of the Holy Spirit. Refresh my heart Lord, and renew my mind. Wash me with the blood of Christ, and take away all my iniquities. Forgive me for not loving you more. Help me to worship you with all that i have, with all that i could give. Bless me and my loved ones today, in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, amen.

"It’s all about Jesus: What Spiritual Revival Means Part 2"

John 14:27
"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."

Knowing about God is but the beginning.

True spiritual revival will bring us to an extraordinary encounter with God.

God desires a relationship with us. He desires for us to have a personal, intimate, and growing relationship with him.

Because true spiritual revival is about EXPERIENCING JESUS.

Is that possible? Can man truly experience the reality of God’s divine presence?

The answer to that is YES and Yes.

Some people, as they are spiritually revived, as they experience Jesus, would literally feel his embrace, and touch, as real as they would feel it coming from a loved one.

While others, as they are spiritually revived, would feel the reality of Jesus as they read the Bible, as they pray, as they worship.

Faith alive, faith that is passionate, faith that is strong, is, to many people, an evidence of Jesus manifesting himself in the life of an individual.

But whatever it is that God chooses to reveal himself to us, what is certain is that, the experience of Jesus, includes the experience of his peace. Something that only God can give. Peace that transcends human understanding.

The experience of Jesus is the experience of his peace.

That is why spiritually revived people don’t dwell on discouragements for long. That is why spiritually revived people can still be happy even in the midst of great challenges. That is why spiritually revived people can go on with a sense of victory because they know, they feel it their hearts, that all will be well, because the peace of God, makes them think and feel that way.

When a person is spiritually revived, he will definitely experience Jesus. He will experience peace.

Make this your prayer today:

Dear God, thank you LOrd for this day. I worship you, I honor you, I glorify your name. Wash me Lord once again with your precious blood, and forgive me of my sins. Enable me Lord today to understand clearly your message. Allow me to meditate, to appreciate, and to apply your words to my situation in life. Cause me to experience Jesus more. Cause me to experience the peace of God in my life. Quiet my heart from all worries, doubts, and fears. Teach me to completely trust in the truth of God’s powerful word. I receive your blessings for today, in Jesus name, amen.

"It’s All About Jesus: What Spiritual Revival Means Part 1"

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

What is Spiritual Revival?

To different kinds of people it came mean different things.

IT’S ALL ABOUT JESUS!

For the first part of this (5) part series, we will see that Spiritual Revival begins with KNOWING JESUS.

It begins with knowing Jesus, and so much more.

And it is not just about having the facts about him. It’s about really knowing Jesus like you would a friend, a best friend, a girlfriend, a boyfriend, a wife, a husband.

It’s about having a real, sincere, and growing relationship with an almighty God.

Masyado ng bombarded ang isang tao ng napakaraming choices when it comes to religion and lifestyles. Kaya very confused ang maraming tao when it comes to making the right balance concerning faith and personal desires.

Some people think they are ok in this department only because they still attend church at hindi naman sila masamang tao.

Somewhere along the way, in this journey of life, merong mga nangyayari sa ating buhay, na puwedeng maglapit, o di naman kaya e, maglayo sa atin sa Diyos.

At diyan pumapasok ang Spiritual Revival.

God comes in and brings people back to thirst and hunger for more of Jesus. To know him more. To know him deeper. To know him better.

How well do you know Jesus?

Desire in your heart today to be revived spiritually.

It begins with Jesus. And, IT’S ALL ABOUT JESUS!

Make this your prayer for today:

Help me Lord to know you. Help me Lord to know you better.  There are times that sometimes i find this hard to do. But then you said in your word, "nothing is impossible with God." And so now I make this request Lord, give me Spiritual Revival. Give me the hunger and thirst for God. For Jesus. Touch me with your Holy Spirit that I may feel the fire of God upon my life. Refresh my heart Lord, renew my mind, restore my body and Spirit with your passion and love. I commit myself to you, this day, and the days after that. Bless me and my loved ones with your divine protection, in Jesus name, amen

ROMAN GUEVARA
Devotional Reading

"Knowing God’s Will Part 5"

James 1:27
Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

Knowing God’s Will is about being Christian.

It’s about making Christ the center and Lord of one’s life. So much so, that we value and place at the highest importance and consideration, his say, on every major decision that we are to make in life.

That is why, a true believer in Jesus Christ, would always pray before anything else. He would always read the Bible before anything else. He would always ask fellow Christians before anything else. Because, he knows, that is the right thing to do.

And in Knowing God’s Will, we have discussed that it is important to have REVELATION, CONFIRMATION, TENSION, and PROVISION.

And now for the fifth, and final part of this series, we are reminded, that for anything that God wants a believer to do, there is always a purpose behind it.

In other words, to know God’s will, we must see, how that decision, leads us to the fulfillment of our calling in God, our MISSION.

Yes, MISSION.

Sabi nga nung verse natin for today, "Religion, to be pure and faultless, should be about looking after orphans, taking care of widows."

Yes, all Christians must have a ministry. And our ministry is because of our Calling, because of the MISSION, God has assigned for us to do on this earth.

Kaya, for any decision that you would have to make in life, always consider, "E ano naman ang kinalaman nito sa MISSION ko ke God? How will this decision help me, in fulfilling God’s calling for my existence on this earth?"

God’s will, always includes, God’s MISSION!

Make this your prayer for today:

Lord God Almighty, I praise you God for you are good and great in all your ways. Forgive me Lord for my sins against you, and for those that I have committed against other people. Do forgive me and wash aways my sins with the precious blood of Jesus Christ. I seek Lord today, your wisdom. Give me wisdom. Take away the deception that comes from the evil one. Open my spiritual eyes that I may see clearly your MISSION for my life. Make me sensitive to your voice that I may hear clearly you call, your guidance, your word. Anoint me Lord today with your Spirit. Empower me to do your will. Bless, protect my loved ones. Make this day beautiful and meaningful. In Jesus name, amen.

ROMAN GUEVARA
Devotional Reading

"Knowing God’s Will Part 4"

James 1:12
Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

In Knowing God’s Will, we have studied at least (3) major points.

First, REVELATION.  If it is God’s will, he will reveal.

Second, CONFIRMATION. That if it is God’s will, he will confirm.

And third, TENSION. That even the presence of trials can serve as a confirmation of his will.

And now, the fourth, in this (5) part series.

PROVISION!

Yes, eventually, kailangan ito bilang pruebe, ebidensiya, katiyakan, na indeed, what we are doing, is his will.

Sabi nga, if it’s God’s will, he will provide.

He will open doors, he will pave  the way, he will soften hearts, he will make you and your advocacies known, he will show you the money, he will make the impossible possible.

Ganyan ang God’s will, walang sino sino.

Sa prayer, we can expect the following answers.

Yes, No, and Wait muna.

Sana laging yes or no lang, para malinaw agad. Kaso nga lang, there are times that God wants us to wait first. Puwedeng dahil me trials and testings muna na alam niyang kailangan nating daanan. Or we have sinned against him, kaya kailangan natin muna ng cleansing. Minsan, wrong pa ang motive. Hindi tama ang katwiran o dahilan. Maraming possible reasons why God opts to delay the fulfillment of his will in our lives.

Ang importante, ayusin natin ang ating puso, ayusin natin ang ating faith, ayusin natin ang ating buhay.

And when all is in their right place, at right timing na, you can expect, even God’s abundant provision for all your needs.

Sabi nga, pag me vision, me provision!

Make this your prayer for today:

Our Father in heaven, glory be to your name. I worship you today Lord with all of my heart and soul. I seek your will, I seek your approval, I seek your blessing. In my journey of faith, i have made many conclusions about life and about believing. Forgive me Lord for the times that my conclusions have been beyond what should be. Forgive me Lord for my sins. Forgive me Lord for my shortcomings. Help me today Lord, to understand better your calling for my Lord. Help me to understand your ways. Help me to truly live according to your will. I trust in you Lord, even for the provisions i need to do your will, to fulfill my call.  I claim the blessing today, in Jesus name amen.

ROMAN GUEVARA
Devotional Reading

"Knowing God’s Will Part 3"

James 1:2-4
Consider it pure joy my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

When God reveals his will, he confirms it.

And one way by which he confirms his will, is when there are trials and testings.

In other words, when God’s will is being revealed, hindi puedeng mawala ang TENSION.

Already we have learned, that in knowing God’s will, there must be REVELATION and CONFIRMATION.

Ano naman itong TENSION?

Hindi bat pag God’s will dapat smooth ang lahat?

On the contrary, maraming beses sa bibliya, na me kwento ng mga tao, na even though they were doing God’s will, pero, dumaan padin sa maraming pag subok.

Kadalasan pa nga, me struggle.

Why?

Because, in knowing and fulfilling God’s will, there are (3) forces at work.

God’s spirit, the human spirit, and evil spirits.

God’s spirit wants to move us forward in life. To do his will. And eventually, to live a life that is blessed by God.

But evil spirits despise this. And they will do everything they can to deceive us in staying in the status quo, or worse, to do the opposite of what God wants us to do.

Kaya tuloy, yung human spirit, me struggle.

And all of these things can happen, as a true believer in Christ seeks his will.

Yes, it is not an easy life.

But it can be so much worse if absent si God sa ating mga decision making.

We need to know and fulfill God’s will in our lives. Kahit na ito pa ay mahirap. Me struggles. Me conflicts. Me trials and testings.

We must now already realize, that in pursuing God’s best for us, there will be TENSION.

Make this your prayer for today:

Dear heavenly father. Thank you Lord for this beautiful day that you have made. I rejoice, knowing that you are with me even as i spend time in your word. Teach me Lord. Counsel me. Direct me. I am yours. Forgive me Lord for the times that i have failed you. For the times that i have given up on faith and life. Help me Lord today to Rise Up. To do your will, even if there are trials and testings. I seek today your comfort. Your encouragement. Your strength. Help me Lord even through my struggles. I give you all the honor and glory. In Jesus name, amen.

ROMAN GUEVARA
Devotional Reading

"Knowing God’s Will Part 2"

James 1:17
Every good and perfect gift  is from above, coming down from the Father of
the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

Knowing God’s Will is a gift. A gift from a
loving Father in heaven. He knows what is best for us, what is good for us,
what is perfect for us.

And that is why, to know his will, it is not enough to have a REVELATION.

What do we mean by this?

God’s will is known through a REVELATION, that is also verified to be true and
real, by a CONFIRMATION, that he likewise sends, to assure the believer of the
REVELATION’S authenticity.

Kailangan may confirmation ang ating iniisip na God’s will.

For example, nagpray tayo for a certain option or decision.

Gaya ng verse na binasa natin ngayon, sabi ron "Every good and perfect
gift comes from our Father in heaven."

Kaya isa pa sa importanteng dapat natin lahat matandaan, if you know your
Father, you will know his gift!

Furthermore, if you know your Father, you will know his will.

Have you been thinking about something very important recently?

Has God been speaking to you through revelations?

Through messages, preachings, bible studies, friends?

Then if you really want to live a life that God blesses, that which pleases
God, then seek a CONFIRMATION.

Be sensitive and observant to what will happen next in your life. The people
you will meet. The things that will occur. The places God will be sending you.

Because God is a God of purpose. Walang aksidente sa Diyos.

Alam na alam niya ang ginagawa niya. He is in full control.

Trust in God. Put your hope on him. He will show you the way.

Get your CONFIRMATION.

Make this your prayer for today:

Dear God, it’s me once again. Knocking on heaven’s gates. Seeking the face of
an almighty and powerful God. I am truly unworthy Lord to be in your presence.
But i nonetheless desire to be with you forevermore. For it is with you, it is
when i am in your presence, do i feel secure, safe, and sure. That is why i
seek forgiveness Lord for all my sins. Knowing that i am unworthy, i bow before
your throne, humbly asking for your will in my life. I believe Lord that you
still speak. That as you give people your revelation, you will also eventually
give much needed confirmation. I am listening Lord, please speak to me so
clearly. Lead me, guide me, direct me, to the right path that will truly
glorify your name. This i pray and declare in Jesus name, amen.
